Every time I swim I forget the proper way to breathe while swimming can you help me?
The biggest advice I have for you with breathing is to not focus on breathing. Focus on your stroke in the water and making a smooth glide in the water and push off the wall, the breathing will take care of itself.
Would you say the breathing techniques are more effective for helping stay calm or maximizing workouts?
Breathing techniques are for increasing breath hold, learning to breathe properly, reducing anxiety, eliciting calm, and using oxygen more efficiently.
I was wondering if you have any info on water confidence courses you can take?
There is water confidence included in all of my workout programs. But if you want a pure breath holding course, you might be able to do a performance free diving course.
I don’t have a pool anywhere close to where I live and was wondering if there was a substitute for training for that?
Look up co2 tables to practice breath holds. But honestly there is not a substitute for the pool.
When bobbing, I'm really floaty (on a full exhale I kind of just slowly sink) and end up having to basically swim myself down. Any tips or recommendations?
If you push off the bottom of the pool harder, it causes you to come out of the water more, which will help you sink faster since you will have more momentum than just a dead pause at the top.
