I have heard the new A&S is mainly land based now, is this true?
The new A&S is more land than water now however, you will still have all of the watercon aspects when you get to predive. So I would absolutely not stop practicing your water work.
I am having trouble staying at the bottom of the pool while putting the mask on. Is there a certain technique or trick I’m missing?
Do a couple of upstrokes to keep yourself down and it helps to do it faster. Make sure when you start your ascent you are on the bottom, so you may have to upstroke back to the bottom.
I’m having issues with buddy breathing and getting water out of the snorkel and staying calm, how should I practice this? Also I have an issue with staying calm with goggles off.
I would practice by just floating in the water with a mask on and pretending to pass the snorkel to your buddy by taking it out of your mouth and putting it back in. Then practice by doing it with your mask off as well.
I just wanted to know if your workout program will include underwater swimming and how far should I be swimming underwater?
Currently I have two programs, one for those who can pass the PAST and one for those who need to start out a little slower. If you can pass the PAST, my GET SELECTED program has underwaters and other watercon.
If you need help passing the PAST, choose this program.
If you are a little more advanced and you can pass the PAST, choose this program.
I was wondering if you have any info on water confidence courses you can take?
There is water confidence included in all of my workout programs. But if you want a pure breath holding course, you might be able to do a performance free diving course.
Will there be the same amount of water con during A&S as Indoc since TACP and SR are going through it as well?
There will not be as much watercon, but there will be events that don't require skill in order to test fortitude. The more technical events will be saved for predive which will immediately follow selection.
